Ramya works closely with gynecologists, psychiatrists, counsellors and therapists, taking an interdisciplinary treatment plan, to help hundreds of patients achieve optimal pelvic health and improve their quality of life.
Ramya began her career as a physiotherapist in India after graduating from Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute, Chennai, in 2006 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. After moving to Canada, she developed an enthusiasm for pelvic floor physiotherapy.
Ramya continued her education, completing certification in pelvic floor physiotherapy sectors as well as Acupuncture. Her passion for pelvic physiotherapy intensified as she completed further certification to treat Female Urinary Incontinence, Pelvic Organ Prolapse, Pain During Intercourse, Diastasis Recti, Ano- rectal disorders, Prenatal and Postnatal Physiotherapy, Paediatric Pelvic Floor, and Breastfeeding Assistance. This specialized training combined with her dedication to patient care is evident in her holistic and patient-centred approach.
In addition to her clinical work, Ramya is an advocate for women’s health and pelvic floor health awareness. Her efforts to raise awareness have made a significant impact on many individuals’ lives, helping to destigmatize pelvic health issues and encourage more people to seek help.
Ramya’s well rounded and individualized approach is rooted in her desire to promote wellbeing and emphasize education to help people of all ages reach their personal goals.
