Getting Started
5 questions
No referral is needed. You can book directly through our online portal at vibarehab.janeapp.com or call us at 604-304-0400. However, some extended health insurance plans may require a physician’s referral for reimbursement — we recommend checking your policy before your first visit.Book your first session
Your first session is a comprehensive one-on-one assessment. Ramya will take a detailed history — including your symptoms, lifestyle, previous treatments, and goals — before conducting a physical examination appropriate to your condition. You’ll leave with a clear understanding of what’s going on and a personalized treatment plan. We want you to feel informed, not overwhelmed.
Initial assessments are typically 60 minutes. Follow-up sessions are usually 45–60 minutes depending on your condition and progress. The number of sessions varies — some patients see significant improvement in 4–6 sessions, while others with more complex conditions benefit from longer-term care. Ramya will give you a realistic expectation at your first appointment.
Yes. The clinic is located at #205, 8035 120 St, Delta, BC in the Scott Road area, with ample free parking available in the building lot. The clinic is also accessible by transit via the Scott Road SkyTrain corridor.
Absolutely. You’re welcome to bring a support person — partner, family member, or friend. For pelvic health appointments, some patients find it easier to attend privately for sensitive conversations, but this is entirely your choice. For pediatric appointments, a parent or guardian must always be present.
Pelvic Floor & Women’s Health
6 questions
It’s completely normal to feel nervous — many of our patients do. Ramya will walk you through every step before anything happens. A pelvic floor assessment may include an internal examination, but this is always explained in advance, conducted only with your full consent, and performed with sensitivity and care. Many patients tell us they wish they’d come sooner.Book a consultation
Yes — and it’s one of the most effective treatments available. Stress urinary incontinence (leaking with coughing, sneezing, or exercise) and urge incontinence (sudden strong urge to urinate) both respond well to targeted pelvic floor physiotherapy. Using biofeedback and real-time ultrasound, Ramya can precisely identify whether your pelvic floor muscles are too weak, too tight, or poorly coordinated — and treat accordingly. Results are often significant within 6–8 weeks.
For most postnatal concerns you can begin as early as 6 weeks after a vaginal delivery, or after your 6-week check-up with your care provider. For C-section deliveries, we typically recommend waiting at least 6–8 weeks. Early postnatal physiotherapy can address diastasis recti, pelvic floor recovery, scar tissue management, and core rehabilitation. Earlier intervention leads to better outcomes.
Diastasis recti is a separation of the abdominal muscles that commonly occurs during pregnancy. Symptoms can include a visible ridge down the midline, lower back pain, pelvic instability, and abdominal weakness. Yes, it can absolutely be treated — physiotherapy focuses on progressive core rehabilitation, breathing mechanics, and load management to restore abdominal function.
  • Visible midline gap or “doming”
  • Lower back and pelvic pain
  • Difficulty with lifting or core exercises
  • Poor posture and abdominal weakness
Yes. Pelvic physiotherapy during pregnancy is safe and beneficial. Treatment focuses on managing pelvic girdle pain, preparing the pelvic floor for labour, relieving sacroiliac discomfort, and establishing good habits for postpartum recovery. Internal assessments are conducted cautiously and only when clinically appropriate and consented to.
Yes. Dyspareunia and vaginismus are both highly responsive to pelvic physiotherapy. Treatment is gradual, compassionate, and entirely led by your comfort level. Ramya uses a combination of internal and external manual therapy, breathing and relaxation techniques, and progressive desensitization. Many patients achieve significant or complete resolution of symptoms.
Insurance & Billing
4 questions
Yes. Viba Rehab offers direct billing to most major extended health insurance plans, including Sun Life, Manulife, Blue Cross, Green Shield, and Great-West Life. This means we bill your insurer directly — you only pay any amount not covered by your plan. We recommend checking your specific coverage limits before booking.
Many of our patients pay privately and find the investment in their health well worthwhile. Please call us at 604-304-0400 to discuss current session rates. We believe everyone deserves access to quality care and are happy to work with you on a plan.
This depends on your specific plan. Most extended health plans in BC do not require a physician’s referral to claim physiotherapy. However, some older or employer-specific plans may require one. We recommend calling your insurer and asking: “Do I need a referral to claim physiotherapy?” before your first appointment.
We ask for a minimum of 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations or no-shows may incur a fee. We understand emergencies happen — please call us as soon as possible and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
General Physiotherapy
3 questions
Yes. While Viba Rehab has a strong specialty in pelvic health, we also provide comprehensive general physiotherapy for musculoskeletal and sports-related conditions. This includes knee pain, neck and shoulder pain, hip dysfunction, tennis elbow, ankle sprains, TMJ disorders, tailbone pain, and sports injury rehabilitation. Every session is one-on-one with Ramya — no assistants or support staff treating you.
No. Our approach is hands-on and individualized. Treatment at Viba Rehab combines manual therapy (joint mobilization, soft tissue work, trigger point release), exercise therapy, acupuncture where appropriate, and patient education. You will receive home exercises, but these are always complementary to — not a replacement for — clinical treatment.
Our pediatric specialty is focused on pelvic floor and bladder/bowel dysfunction. For general musculoskeletal conditions in pediatric patients, please call us at 604-304-0400 to discuss whether Ramya’s experience is the right fit for your child’s specific needs.
